첫번째는 남성들은 힘든일을 해도 희생을 감수하고 참아야 하고 여성들은 신체적으로 나약하다는 이유로 남성의 보호를 받아야 하는 젠더 이분법적인 관념과 연관이 있다.

덕택에 힘든일을 하고 싶어하는 여성들이 노동 시장에 배제 당하고 남성들은 비교적 편한 일을 하고 싶어도 무리한 업무를 강요 받는다.
