Sonic Groove Live, Week 24 - My Top 5

SGLtop5wk24eng.jpg

Strange Week!

I feel like I lost time somehow. It doesn't seem like a week has passed, yet it also feels like twice that interval.

Anyway, my brain feels fuzzy – kinda fumbling over words and letters. I'm generally exhausted, even more so than usual.

Bed calls, but first...my top selections for this week....

First

@montycashmusic • ['The Big Bad Wolf' (Original)]

Gotta say...your funky, rhythmic syncopation is pretty rad. Works well with your gritty, jazzy vocals. No worries about your 'visage' – I'd say your I-just-woke-up look quite suits the mood of your song. I find your somewhat messy edges rather endearing.

Second

@danaidhbee • ['Stay Here' (Original)]

A++ for so bravely sharing such a new composition. I love that fresh energy of a brand new song, when you're still so much in it – still emotionally connected to the process of writing, and your muse; whomever it is you're crooning to. I hope they want to stay with you, too. <3

Third

@gibber • ['Day by Day' (Original)]

So sweet and familiarly human. Lovely to hear one of your own – I hope you share more in future! Nice haircut, btw. ;)

Fourth

@jubei333 • ['The Raggle Taggle Gypsy' (Traditional Folk song)]

Well done! I love the extra time and effort you've invested in this by playing both guitar parts. I know how difficult that can be. I also quite enjoyed the visual/subtitles in the corner – gave it extra depth and texture. Thanks for sharing so many traditional Irish songs with us!

Fifth

@lk666 • ['Black House' by Omnia (Cover)]

I love hearing you two sing together – your doubled vocals are so much richer this way. Awesome energy and looping!

Honorable Mention

@partitura • [’Herr Christ, der ein'ge Gottes Sohn (BWV 601)’ by Johann Sebastian Bach (Cover)]

So much excellence packed into 2 minutes! Loved every second of this. Bravo!
