This morning the weather in my place was quite friendly. Since this morning Monday, December 7, 2020 until the afternoon, the rain has stopped temporarily. Only now, even in the day, did the rain fall again heavily.
I am grateful that when it doesn't rain, I do lots of activities outside the house. My first activity this Monday is taking my child to school. My daughter, who is number three, goes to school at one of the State Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Lhokseumawe. She's in fourth grade now. Incidentally today is the first day she took the class promotion exam or semester exam.
After a long holiday due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this is also the first time she has taken a face-to-face test. But of course the school still applies health protocols to students, even though it is allowed in the face-to-face form.
When they arrived at the school gate, two teachers greeted them. Everyone check their temperature. Children are also required to wear masks while in school and are advised not to buy food or snacks around the school environment. They were asked to bring food from home. This is of course to prevent them from interacting with other people while they are at school.
After escorting my daughter and making sure she has entered her class, I head off to enjoy a cup of sanger espresso to warm up. This morning coffee has become my daily agenda. I have several cafe subscribers that are able to serve this sanger espresso.
The taste of the coffee fits my tongue so well. Because of that I rarely move places to enjoy coffee. Usually, after enjoying morning coffee I go to the office. But today I was not allowed to enter because there was an event between the bride and groom. It happened that the bride was the child of my cousin. So still close relatives.
Therefore it is impossible for me to miss this important event. I have prepared in advance and canceled several other activities so that I can join between the brides or in our local language, we call it intat linto.
The intat linto program is quite far, namely to Leubue Me Village, Makmur District, Bireuen Regency. Meanwhile, the groom's house is in Gampong Pulo Blang Trieng, Syamtalira Bayu District, North Aceh. You take a choice of kilometers to arrive at your destination.
But this journey feels close because we pass it with joy. Moreover, seeing Linto's face is very cheerful and implies a very extraordinary sense of happiness. I just arrived home at around 15.00 WIB after bringing home all of my siblings who were riding in the car.
