I'm Just An Ordinary Man, And My Flesh Can't Be Cast

Every lonely day my thoughts return to you honestly
Like I've known your sweet face my whole existence
In a stir of deepest emotions and longings earnestly
Bearing the word - amore - and a divine subsistence

And away in the depths of my heart, I keep thinking
Of the course of my emotions and unending desires
My mind's eye on the weather of your town, visiting
A one legged thing burning up my body as wildfires

Step by step - to the breeze passing through my side
I whisper wet consuming dreams like days long past
For going up and down - like flowers on the hill-side
I'm just an ordinary man, and my flesh can't be cast

Every cold night, my thoughts beckon you earnestly
When the germ of emptiness stream my system full
And mid-night dust falls upon the stream - quietly
Shining a macabre glare under the far stars, so dull

Your beautiful light always with me, I keep it aglow
Imagining us laid together at the edge of the earth
Building in a sudden hurry - a lover's purity in flow
By the spectral illumination of thirst in every breath

And away in the depths of my heart, I keep thinking
Of your favorite brew, hazy like a rainy day forecast
Accepting the voice of my tomb in silence, realizing
I'm just an ordinary man, and my flesh can't be cast.
