Crowder Specific Chiropractic: What To Expect in Our McKinney, TX Upper Cervical Chiropractic Clinic

Before Coming In

Your first visit will include a consultation, examination with one of our upper cervical chiropractors and precise x-rays if necessary. The 3D x-rays allow the doctor to analyze how your neck vertebra have misaligned and develop a precise upper cervical correction customized to your neck. The goal is for your neck correction to hold as long as possible as that will allow you to see results quickly and heal as fast as possible. On subsequent visits you may or may not need an upper cervical correction (adjustment). At Crowder Specific Chiropractic, we are able to determine when a correction is needed by performing various objective tests.
Step One
A detailed consultation is conducted to understand the history of each individual. Next, a complete examination is performed including a computerized digital thermography scan . Thermography measures the heat (thermo) coming from the body. We use Thermography to locate inflammation in the body. By reading heat reading registering in certain parts of the body we can locate abnormalities in the spine.

Step Two
If it has been determined that a vertebral subluxation is present, very specific three dimensional X-ray films are taken. The analysis of these films calculates a precise, customized adjustment that will impact the whole spine.
Step Three
The upper cervical chiropractic adjustment itself is performed to the upper neck and typically feels completely under-whelming and painless. There is NO cracking or twisting of the neck or spine in the upper cervical adjustment.

Once the initial adjustment is made, follow up computerized thermography scans are taken to determine if the adjustment is complete. The post adjustment scan and analysis is used to determine if the atlas was properly returned to its neutral position directly underneath the center of the skull.

Since each individual has a unique history and postural imbalance, follow-up care will be discussed on the visit following the initial adjustment. This specific, gentle Upper Cervical Chiropractic approach has helped numerous people with various conditions. At Crowder Specific Chiropractic in McKinney, Texas we do not treat a specific disease or condition. But by restoring proper body balance, our chiropractors in McKinney, Texas is able to optimize the body’s ability to heal itself.
