A nice sunny day to get out and enjoy nature as well as wrap up the week on Actifit.
Spent the early part of the day enjoying the outdoors with Lulu in the Prescott National Forest. Lots of like-minded folks out there as well. Lots of flowers to enjoy and Lulu lived splashing around in the fairly cold water in upper Lynx Creek.
After a few hours digging and panning my back and hips were feeling their age and I didn't feel good enough for an afternoon run so I decided to try a nicely paced walk on my favorite rolling walking loop. My stride was a bit stiff because of these sore hips but at least it wasn't as tortuous as my recent runs. Thumb Butte was beautiful under the sunny sky
and lots of wildflowers are out as well.
Tomorrow we plan to head to the backcountry west of here to do a bit of rock collecting for quartz crystals over in Date Creek. A quiet spot and hopefully it will be a nice family trip as well.
