My country made it

It is now a stale news that my country defeated South Africa in the AFCON, 2019 competition. Prior to this game South Africa eliminated the prestigious host of the competition in the round of 16 but were unlucky and sent home by the super eagles of Nigeria in the quarter finals.

Both team gave it a fight from start to finish but the brilliance of chukwueze and the resilient spirit of William Troost-Ekong were too strong for the tenacious and vibrant bafana bafana boys of South Africa.

Now the competition is on the semi-final phase, with Nigeria, Algeria, Tunisia and Senegal still on in the game and aiming for the cup glory. My country has been paired with Algeria to battle it out for a place in the finals, while Senegal and Tunisia will wrestle it out for a spot in the finals.

Who will progress? Who will go home knocked out? Only the game on the pitch will tell!!!

It was a tough game and we switched off in the last minute, could have really gone either way but well done to Nigeria. Hopefully, this is the start of better things for South African football, its been a while since we saw ourselves progress in an international tournament

It's such a great delight seeing young players carving a name for themselves. I am happy too and I hope we make history again tonight. All the best.

Don't forget to keep a date by 8 pm tonight. I sincerely hope and pray that we defeat Algeria. Nothing is impossible. Let's go!
