God is love Jesus taught that God loves mankind. "For God so loves the world that he gave his only son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life," he said. By implication, that sentence connotes the idea that God wants man to live life to the full - everlasting (forever).
God is kind God is kind even to those who do not obey him. He is merciful, and can forgive our mistakes. This is because he understands our weaknesses as human beings. If we acknowledge our sins and repent from them, God has a large heart to forgive, such that we stand as if we had not sinned in the first place.
Love one another Emphatically, Jesus told his followers to love one another in practical terms even as he himself loved them. He told them not to love as ordinary human beings who love someone because that one showed them love. They should even pray for their enemies. The story of the Good Samaritan epitomizes the teaching of Jesus on how to love.
A promise of God's kingdom Jesus taught that man will not live forever in the present dispensation. He said there is a real life available for man which will be made possible when the kingdom of God comes. He promised mankind that that kingdom which he will in charge (with his chosen disciples) will last forever.
