Mateo 6:25-34 NBV
Greetings and rich blessings to the HeartChurch family, it is an honor and a pleasure to greet you from this wonderful country: Venezuela. What a joy to find this community within the Steemit platform, where we can receive the precious word of the Lord from each other. The presente day, I want to share with you a small reflection based on Jeremiah 48:11 RV60.
“Quiet was Moab from its youth, and on its sediment it has been resting, and it was not emptied from pot to pot, nor was it ever in captivity; therefore, its flavor remained in it, and its smell has not changed. "
In this passage we observe how God spoke to Jeremiah about the condition of the nation of Moab, protected by its privileged geographical location and its strengths, it allowed it to have commercial routes that generated many wealth as well as its excellent vineyards. As the country was never exposed to any foreign invasion in those times, Moab was able to develop prosperously until it was envied by other nations. His confidence was in his wealth, which was a source of pride for the nation.
Now God refers to Moab as a wine that has long sat in its sediment. This image refers to the old wine refining process, after the grape was crushed to obtain the must, it was placed in vessels for fermentation. After a period of standing at the bottom, a sediment from the impurities of the wine settled, for which it was necessary to carefully empty it into another vessel, leaving the sediments in the first container. This decantation was the only way to obtain a liquid free of impurities since at that time there were no filters for this purpose, and this process would be repeated as many times as necessary until obtaining a clear and transparent wine, with a select aroma and fragrance according to the taste of its manufacturer. If the transfer process was not carried out, the impurities or sediments ruined the wine in its color, aroma and flavor.
Beloved, we need to be free from the impurities that have ruined our aroma and taste.
Paul instructs us to have our minds renewed in Ephesians 4:23 and Romans 12: 2, that we do not conform to our old way of life.
How many of us with some time in our walk with God, we still have sediment in some areas of our life, we were still like Moab in our sediment.
And the Covid-19 Pandemic arrived, with all that this world situation has implied ... a transferor arrived, which the Heavenly Father in his love has allowed for us to be "passed from vessel to vessel", and we can be purified and cleansed of everything that ruins our essence as Children of God.
Beloved of the Lord, let God in his infinite mercy cleanse us in such a way that the example of Moab remains in force in our lives. We do not base our trust on the material or what we can obtain with our effort, sooner or later the "transferrs" will come and we must be spiritually aware and understood that it is necessary to go through the decantation process, so that God's purpose is fulfilled in us.
