Cartesi A Linux Infrastructure for Scalable DApps


Cartesi is a decentralized and scalable Linux infrastructure that addresses issues of computational scalability and development infrastructure for the decentralized web. With Cartesi, blockchain applications can be coded with the broad domain of mainstream software stacks available today. Applications run off-chain with blockchain's strong security guarantees but are free of its computational limitations and high costs.

Cartesi is a Layer-2 platform for the development and deployment of scalable decentralized applications. Cartesi DApps are composed of blockchain and off-chain units. Off-chain units operate on Cartesi nodes that represent the interests of each DApp user. Cartesi nodes provide DApp developers with reproducible Cartesi machines, where large amounts of verifiable computations can be run. These verifiable computations are easily integrated into smart contracts by powerful primitives that provide strong conflict resolution guarantees.
