Steemit Crypto Academy Weekly Update #7 [ March 22nd, 2021 ]

Artboard@3x (1).png

We are now moving into week 7 of the Steemit Crypto Academy.

It looks like you are all enjoying the courses as the number doing the homework tasks just keeps going up every week.

Because of the growing popularity of the Crypto Academy we are now looking to add to the team of Crypto Professors.

If you, or someone you know, might be interested in becoming a Steemit Crypto Professor look out for the recruitment post that we will be posting in the next few days.

We will be particularly interested in potential Professors that are from countries not already represented in the team.

Participation and performance in the homework tasks will be one of the factors we consider in the recruitment process so if you are interested in applying make sure you get well into the tasks set by the Professors this week.

The Steemit Crypto Academy Courses - Week 7

These are the courses for Week #7

@besticofinder [ Sri Lanka ]

This week Professor @Besticofinder is taking a more in-depth look at how to invest in cryptocurrencies.

The homework task involves choosing two (ideally competing) cryptocurrencies and doing fundamental analysis to compare the two.

@gbenga [ Nigeria ]

This week Professor @Gbenga is taking an introductory look at DeFi and Yield Farming.
The homework task involves writing about a Decentralized Finance Ecosystem and a project/protocol in that ecosystem.

@sapwood [ India ]

This week Professor @Sapwood is looking further at the Steem Blockchain particularly Inflation, Recovery Accounts and Encrypted Messages.

The homework task covers the importance of building Steem Power, recovery accounts and encrypted messages.

@stream4u [ India ]

This week Professor @Stream4u is looking at Money Management and Portfolio Management.

The homework task is all about money management, portfolio management, your future plans for both and any investment failures you have had recently.

@yohan2on [ Uganda ]

This week Professor @Yohan2on is taking a more in-depth look at Stable Coins.

The homework task is about Stable Coins - particularly USD Coin (USDC), TrueUSD (TUSD), Paxos Standard (PAX) and Digix (DGX).

Homework Guidelines

We are keen to ensure that all contributions to the Steemit Crypto Academy are of as high a standard as possible.

While the Crypto Professors may set specific requirements for some of their homework tasks we would suggest all students follow these basic guidelines…

  • Title the post with the format - Crypto Academy Week 7 - Homework Post for [name of Crypto Professor] …
  • Homework posts should be at least 300 words
  • All work should be your own - plagiarism will not be tolerated
  • Any graphs, screenshots, quotes etc used from other sources should be fully referenced
  • Any images used should be from copyright-free sources and fully referenced
  • Homework posts should include the tag #cryptoacademy and any tag specifically required by the Crypto Professor in the first five tags. It will also be good to include a tag for your country.
  • Tag the relevant Crypto Professor to help them find your homework post.

Please make sure you send your homework posts into the Crypto-Academy community…

Please check each Professor’s post carefully for any special instructions they have given for their homework task. Once you have completed your homework post make sure you leave a link on the Professor’s post to ensure they see it.

Following all these guidelines carefully will help you gain higher vote rewards for your homework posts.

The Steemit Crypto Academy community

The Crypto Academy community is now ONLY for posts to do with the courses being run by the Crypto Professors…

Alongside the course posts from the Crypto Professors, the only other posts in the Steemit Crypto Academy community should be homework posts for the tasks set by the professors.

Please do not post general crypto related posts now in the Steemit Crypto Academy Community. Any non-Academy posts may be muted.

We hope as many of you as possible will join in with the Steemit Crypto Academy courses and do the homework tasks set by the Crypto Professors. You are free to follow as many of the courses as you want.

We will be giving votes from @steemcurator02 for good homework posts once they have been checked by the Professors. If a Professor has not visited your post after 2 days you might want to leave a polite reminder comment on their post.

You can also help grow the Steemit Crypto Academy by telling your friends about it and sharing the courses on your social media.

And if you know any crypto content creators do encourage them to come along and get involved. We will be on the lookout for more Crypto Professors soon.

Thank you

The Steemit Team

Are there exceptions to participating in this homework by users? Maybe reputation limit and other factors?

22.03.2021 05:53

Distinguished officials, you have not voted for my submission yet, although the homework I prepared 6 days ago got full points by the professor. When you vote, we prepare homework with higher motivation.

Please have a checked on my week 6 homework tasks from Prof. @gbenga, already reviewed though with less ratings but rated after 5 days. It's almost to payout today maybe around 20 hours but never been curated by @steemcurator01 or @steemcurator02. Actually, this is the 2nd homework taks Prof. @gbenga reviewed after 5 or 6 days which is very late already to be curated. Hopefully this issue from the prof. will be solved as soon as possible.

I couldn't join last week, but I really need to return to this! I've been learning a lot with these classes, and professors are performing an amazing task by teaching, reading, and explaining our mistakes in the thehomeworks.

It is true that the crypto academy is one of the youngest and fastest as well as the most active growing community on the Steemit platform. Kudos to the entire Steemit teams and the able Steemit Professor, they are really doing a good job.

My Observations
This is a very important aspect of Steemit for many who do not know, cryptocurrency education is a rare course and must be treated as such

There has been a daily rise in members within this community which sounds good.

More crypto Academy student participating in the home works and given tasks

Cryptocurrency professors are overwhelmed, thereby resulting in omissions of homework submitted by students which could be very discouraging.

Even some reviewed homework are not being curated before the 7 days expiration date.

My Suggestion
The 5 professor we have I believe are good for the community.

I share in your sentiment in bringing onboard new professors but they should be recruited to assist the present professor who already have Alot of homework task and may even omit some so as to meet up with submission requirements to the curators. So they can be called assistant professor regardless of the country.

They Steemit Professors are recruited for the student who seeks a fair, Decentralized and transparent education system.

Thank you for the audience.

I was wondering that myself. It seems like if you didn’t hop on the train years ago that you have already missed the opportunity for the huge gains. Ive been dabbling in crypto for years but never took the plunge that would have made me a lot of money. Now that I am seeing all my friends get wealth around me, I wonder if it is now too late in 2021. I asked my friend about this and he showed me this program that answered all my questions and more. It comes with a monthly 25+ page cryptocurrency newsletter, monthly video updates of markets and updates, an 18-lesson cryptocurrency beginners course, a 20-lesson trading & technical analysis course, multiple topic-specific special reports, access to members-only private Discord chat groups access to the creator's personal buy/sell movements.

What I have found most useful is the private discord chats and the special reports. Crypto analysis does not work the same way it did 5 years ago, or even a year ago, and I love that this course is updated and relevant specifically for 2021.

I have bought other courses before and none have been this extensive. I expect it to pay for itself. I encourage you to check it out because I think that it will show you that cryptocurrency is alive and well in 2021 and actually there are still many exciting things happening with it.
