Van Gaalen Cheese factory.
Last year, during the festive period, my wife and I decided to go on a short road trip, to the Hartbeestpoort dam vicinity, with no real plan where we wanted to go. While driving she googled to see what we could do there, and she found a place called "Van Gaalen Kaasmakerij, which is a farm where they make cheese. They also have a restaurant where we could eat some snacks!!
The restaurant had a very nice outside area, where we went to sit. The place is owned by some Dutch people and the menu was consisting mostly of Dutch foods. I had a breakfast sandwich, although it was already lunch time, but I love eggs!!
My wife had some Dutch Krokketten, with some salad.
After lunch we took a stroll on the premises, and took the photo below, of the restaurant in the distance!! As you can see it is surrounded by some big trees, which made it a real nice setting to eat outside under the shade of the trees.
Below is some of the cheeses that the factory made.
This was an unplanned destination, which we enjoyed a lot - sometimes the unplanned trips, provide some nice surprises!!
I hope you enjoyed the post as much as I enjoyed writing it.
The photos was taken by me, at Van Gaalen Kaasmakerij, South Africa, using my Samsung Phone.
