INMI: "The Involuntary Musical Imagery"

Honestly, these last few days of this week, even when I've been reading stuff daily here in the steem blockchain, I wasn't felt inspired nor willing to write anything of my authorship that would be worth to add to the pot.

I was finding everything more and less kind of depressing everywhere through my surroundings. Digital, physical & ethereal surroundings.
I wasn't sure if it was just me. Or if it was a thing that was floating thru the atmosphere everywhere.

But I certainly also could appreciate this "heavy feeling" right here through the articles of the authors that I follow and have in my feed.

The general sentiment wasn't as bullish.

INMI is typically triggered by recent musical exposure, low attention states, and associations between memories. Individual differences arise in personality, where traits such as obsessive-compulsive tendencies and neuroticism are associated with more frequent INMI.

An "earworm" is a made up word describing any song, jingle, or medley that sticks like glue inside your ears destined to repeat its tune or lyrics over and over in your mind. Regardless of desire to ban it or keep it there and which you get at least one of these stuck in your head every day.

Psychologists have found that people tend to start off wary of, or even hostile to, new things which makes sense from a frankly evolutionary perspective. But then the simple act of mere exposure, nothing more than further exposure, changes our feelings. We typically feel more warmly toward things we encounter again and again.

And not even a word was spoken!

So, I have the feeling and the hunch that maybe you will appreciate very much that I have not written anything during these last three days as to not poison you with my not so glowing previous mood.

Obviously it was not my intention to find myself in such a bleak state.
I guess it was all accidental. And if you are a real content curator, I bet you felt the same thing like me these last few days. "An Involuntary Brainworm"

And I would dare to tell you that apart the mainstream news all over the place about the Soleimani death-Iran-USA affair and the recent discussions about @Sbdpotato & @Burnpost concept and goals here. These didn't help much either to get rid of this all of the sudden sticky song.
That song which says:

🎶 This ain't real, this ain't cool 🎶

I copypasted this because I relate to it so much. Sometimes I am reading stuff here in silence wondering what else is there to add. Sometimes feeling like I don't have much to say as whatever is going on in my life is either too personal or toxic to share.

Thank you for sharing whatever was in you :)

Of this & in this world, I think we've already seen enough.

Probably too much!!

These posts are a manifestation of capitulation!

Not necessarily a capitulation. Since a good bunch of us can't afford the luxury to quit to the only job so far which provide at least a few scarce but meaningful incomes to keep going ahead in the middle of this unstoppable & bottomless financial crisis and uncontrollably outrageous economic hyperinflation in my neck of the woods.

Trending has always been one of those places that leaves you feeling hopeless about the steem block chain. The changes hasn't made it any better. I just go off to another blog site when I can't find stuff here, no sense in dwelling on the continued failures of this system. Nothing one can say or do will help, it will only aggravate you. I took a peek the other day to see what everyone was talking about, yeah that's pretty depressing for sure. Mix that with the daily news cycle and no wonder you are at a loss for words.
