We love these!
These gourds are similar to dipper gourds, but more slender, especially at the end. This makes them ideal for using as a feed scoop, which is the primary reason that we enjoy growing them. When dried they can also be used for a variety of other crafts too, so let your imagination run wild.
We enjoy using them over plastic containers to do the chores, and once they are sanded with some sandpaper, they have an amazing feel to them. The built in handle is a great size and very ergonomic, and the best part is that when (or if) they break, they can be broken down and composted to be added back to the garden.
The best byproduct of growing your own is that when you allow the gourds to fully mature and dry, you'll have to remove the seeds in order to turn them into feed scoops, so you'll have the next generation of feed scoop gourd seeds available to plant, share, trade, or sell! How cool is that?
During our germination tests we had a germination rate of 80%, so we take that into consideration when packaging them. We offer 30 seeds per order.

We just released our second book ever, "ARMADILLO ESCAPE" - a children's book that was the effort of three generations of our family, from @grandpa-pepper all the way down to Pinkie-Pepper. We're excited about it, so here's some links for you to check out in case you're interested. Thanks!
