greetings to you all on steemit blog and steemfoods community, this is my first post since I joined and got verified. I really love this community why because I love food a lot lol, please don't laugh it's the truth. I sometimes go through post from the community I saw great great stuff here and also went on to try out some of the wonderful foods on my own.
as well as I love eating so I love and know how to cook delicious meals. though while growing up my Dad would not let any of his boys enter the kitchen saying the women should be the once to do it, I grew up with that mentality. not until I left home and live on my own.
I was always seen eating from restaurant, though I didn't like it but they is noting I can do because I don't know how to cook, but the humiliation from fiends was too much they will always tease me so I made up my mind to start cooking for myself.
and I discovered I learnt fast and eventually my house became a restaurant as many of my friends will love to come and eat. today when I went back home from school I told my Mom to rest for me to take charge of the kitchen and cook something delicious for them.
I cooked vegetable soup, locally known as (ikong ubong). I love this soup a lot it's healthy for the body and it gives blood, it is also useful for losing weight.
- stock fish
- beef meat
- dry fish
well lets head straight to the kitchen, now before doing anything you wash your hands. then wash Ogu and water leaves known botanically as (Talinum fruticosum), make sure they are very clean. then you start chopping the leaves with a sharp knife. after that you put your leave in a basket and wash out those tiny stubborn sands out.
after that you prepare all the soup particulars lol, I mean your beef meat or pork meat, kpomo, stock fish, dry fish, ice fish when you are done wash your pepper and pound it in a mutter or use your blender for better result. you will also pound your cryfish, chop your onions.
put your meat on the fire put salt, pepper, onions and allow your meat to steam for sometime observe and be sure its well steamed, put your water leaves in a pot and steam for about 5 minutes you can now put in your steamed meat. add little water, add salt Maggie, pepper and stare leave it to boil for lets say 4min then finally put your Ogu leaves let it boil for some time. your food is ready to be served, either with fufu, garri or sermovita.
