In other words it's called piracy.

WHAT IS STEEMIT'S POLICY ON PLAGIARISM?
According to the steemit's policy on plagiarism which can be found in their FAQ - PLAGIARISM,SPAM AND ABUSE.

If you use another person's content, you must ensure you have the rights to use them or else you're violating copywrite laws and this can get you in legal trouble or even have your posts downvoted by community members.

Steemit has very strict no tolerance levels for plagiarism because truth be said it's stealing another person's hardwork and brain power without even giving them credit for it.
And as such communities on @steemit have been creating awareness campaigns to sensitize their members against plagraism
Here are a few campaign screenshots in some communities I belong to on steemit.

TYPES OF PLAGIARISM.
There are different types of plagiarism and they are all serious offenses. Here are 5 most common types of plagiarism.

A) COMPLETE PLAGIARISM
This is a situation where someone's entire work is submitted by another person in his name as his. This type of plagiarism is tantamount to intellectual theft or stealing.

B) DIRECT PLAGIARISM
This is a word for word copying of another person's work without quoting or attributing the original author thereby passing the work as his own. This is similar to complete plagiarism the only difference is that in this type of plagraism only sections of the another's work is taken.

C. SELF PLAGIARISM
This is also known as duplication. This happens when an author reuses significant sections of his/her previously submitted work in a new project. This happens a lot with authors.

D. MOSAIC PLAGIARISM
This is a very intentional and dishonest type of plagraism and it's very hard to detect because here an author borrows phrases from a source without attributing where it was gotten from. Another word for this is 'Patchwork' plagiarism.

E. ACCIDENTAL PLAGIARISM
I believe this has happened to everyone at certain points in our lives, but that I believe was in the days of ignorance.
This type of plagraism occurs by accident!. Where person neglects to site their sources,or misquotes their sources.

Plagiarism no matter the form is still a serious offenses. The key to avoid plagraism is to cite all your sources. So authors and students should be very careful when doing research work to be sure they take notice of their sources and cite them accordingly.

I joined steemit in the month of March 2021 and I'll tell you for free that it isn't a walk in the park, apart from getting my posts voted,I've had the opportunity to meet and learn about the cultures and ways of life of other people across the globe.
Most importantly I'm learning about myself and my abilities and disabilities.
How patient can I be?
What are my flaws?, What areas of my writing skills can I hone?
How do i do that?

These questions and many more have made me do researches inorder to become a better person.
Steemit isn't just about the money, there's much more to learn from this platform. it's also about connecting with others, building friendships and networking.

One reason people plagiarise posts or content is because they are in a hurry to get voted
Another reason is the inability to be patient and do the work that comes with having a good content post.

I warn you,the communities in steemit only vote posts that are quality so instead of plagiarising someone else's post, read people's posts, learn and work on your writing skills and with time your posts too will be voted.

I have read and understood the steemit Etiquette on steemit community and I will do my best to embrace them.
