The Thanksgiving holiday was a busy time for me, and it led right into a family vacation the week after, so I'm still playing catch up with my posts. So it's a little late, but here's some of what I got into on Thanksgiving Day.
The prep started hours early. Brussel sprouts have become a standard at our Thanksgiving meals on both sides of the family over the past several years. But first they all needed to be washed and trimmed.
After a warm up in the oven, my rolls hit the table. They were well received.
Of course we also had turkey, the star of the show for me. It's always my favorite part of the meal.
And yes, that is a can of Faygo in the background, because both sides of the family are from the Detroit area.
To finish things off, this carmel apple pie was really great. A perfect capper to a great meal.
