Replacing a tile?

As some followers of my blog know, I've been fixing up our home for over two months now and it's been exhausting but also a great experience.

Well, as it happens, I've been searching for a couple of weeks for a replacement tile and I've been completely unlucky on that department. So, this is the next best thing... Building a little furniture piece and connect it to the wall...

Well these pictures kind of tell the story.

Waiting for the spackle to dry, then paint, then doing some trim and maybe we can call it done.

I'm feeling pretty proud of this...

I had the same problem once and ended up putting a laminate over the top of the entire kitchen floor. It looked pretty good :D

Pretty creative indeed! Could have probably gone with a cabinet as well. Luckily, you can do it yourself; I would have spent too much on that simple idea!

That's pretty cool!

That's a really well thought out solution for the problem... I saved some tiles from when my house was built, just in case, it's one of the best things to do whenever you buy a house.

I don't know man, that plant there alone looks off... add a little dirt around it in a vase or get one of those circular bubblegum machines.
