Content etiquette is what i will be talking about In my achievement 3 post and i will be discussing about plagiarism, and how to avoid it.
WHAT IS ETIQUETTE?
Etiquette can be define according to wikipedia as :
"Etiquette (/ˈɛtɪkɛt/ and /ˈɛtɪkɪt/; French: [e.ti.kɛt]) is the set of conventional rules of personal behaviour in polite society, usually in the form of an ethical code that delineates the expected and accepted social behaviours that accord with the conventions and norms observed by a society, a social class, or a social group. In modern English usage, the French word étiquette (ticket) dates from the year 1750."
In every groups, organisations, or places there is rules and regulations guiding them.
So with my own understanding content etiquette is a guidelines or rules which any one who want to be a good writer must adhere to and must avoid in other not to plagiarize.
WHAT IS PLAGIARISM
"Plagiarised and copy/pasted material, including images, is not original content.
Plagiarism is the appropriation of another person's work, be it text or image, without any attempt to give them credit. The goal of the plagiarist is to make it appear as if themselves"
So i can say in my own understanding that plagiarism is when you copied another persons work or ideas and you didn't give credit or acknowledge them in the work.
With my experience so far on Steemit, i can say Plagiarism is an abuse and great offense here on Steemit Community.
It as a great penalty wish can be Ban from the community, Post can be flagged or you will be downvoted.
So if we want to avoid plagiarism
• We must be sure to cite all the sources of images and documents we get from the internet or elsewhere.
• We must not copy other people content and claim ownership.
• We must follow all the rules
• We must get our images from site that offer free download in order not to violate copyright laws.
"I have read and understand the steemit Etiquette on the steemit community and i will do my best to embrace it."
Here is my Achievement 3 task,
