Slow day today on the markets. Not surprising given the price actions on the broader crypto markets.
Our accounts remain the same as yesterday, having sold about 3510 MAPXV tokens and have a healthy ABV of 1.1 STEEM. This latter is obviously due to our average price rising above 1 STEEM and I don't expect this to fall below unity.
Today, I wish to focus on the process of delegation-mining, or rather, how that process comes to an end. As many of you also hold MAPX tokens, worth reading today's MAPX post. At some point in the future, the same transition will happen to MAPXV, so worth understanding this and not being caught by surprise.
At the moment, MAPXV upvotes are supported by 13,200 SP of delegations. The delegation-miners earn MAPXV tokens for their support and the current token-holders get some larger upvotes compared to our own fund SP. As we have sold about 3500 tokens so far, those 3500 tokens are currently receiving upvotes from a total of 14,900 voting SP.
This is very nice for current token-holders as the delegation-miners help the fund while earning for themselves. At some point, all this will stop! I always announce these changes with plenty of time before action is taken. With 20,000 tokens in the MAPXV fund, I shall set the delegations to stop at around the 18,000 mark so that the last 2000 tokens can be kept for future buyers.
At that point, we may well have our own SP plus the delegated SP as being much higher than the tokens sold. Again, that's fantastic but at the point I will ask the delegators to wind down their support and undelegate. I know, that's sad, but miners cannot mine once the mine is empty - or almost empty. So although this may seem far into the distant future, please remember that it will happen and that by then we should have ample SP to support all the token-holders.
In the meantime, enjoy the luxury of larger upvotes!
I am not saying a word about the STEEM price or HF21.
Today's random prize
An almost-daily random prize of 0.01 MAPXV to one lucky member.
The winner today is... @quantumdeveloper. Congratulations!
Just to add that this will be a lucky time for some members as there are not so many individuals that are not part of the MAP FinTech family. I don't think it fair to give prizes to myself!
