The row of shop-houses is very old, older than one hundred years. Years ago Chinese immigrants lived and worked in this area and on warehouses along the river. Now old houses are being transformed into chic cool coffee shops and street art on walls are supposed to attract tourists and visitors.
Now local people wait for tourism to start again! These guardian cats are having a rest after the hard work!
This area is called Talad Noi which means small market. You could find lots of delicious street food in small restaurants owned and operated by three generations of local people. The atmosphere is similar to a small village where everyone knows each other by first name.
Hope you’ll have the chance to visit this place one day.
