The express boat or river taxi which runs on the Chao Phraya River offers a very cheap and convenient way to get to various sight seeing spots in Bangkok. This way we could avoid the traffic jam on busy roads. The view along the river is very refreshing during daytime and totally different during nighttime.
This boat trio is on the way back from the Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun) to the Sathorn Pier. There used to be more colourful lighting and evening cruise boats before the pandemic lockdown. The river used to be full of tourists sitting on the upper decks of sightseeing boats.
I do hope tourism will be able to start soon. The economy has picked up a bit but the hotels and tourists related businesses are still in limbo. The long and drastic lockdown could be more harmful and damaging to people’s well being than the ‘reality’ concerning the pandemic. So much organised hype and fear of the coronavirus had been seen as politically motivated for some specific goals beyond our perception.
There are things beyond my understanding and imagination. The universe is limitless and so the unfathomable depth of some people’s mind. Big plans with big results and incredible visions accompanying with enormous ambitions could lead to much confusion and sufferings around the globe. But in the end, I think the law of karma runes. So, all actions would get the feedback of karmic result accordingly. Meanwhile I wish you a peaceful and pleasant week.
