Good evening to you all. I hope you are all doing well. After a stressful evening I decided to share the little cooking experience I know about Okro and Semovita.
Nowadays people prefer to eat sallow more than rice because it sustains us more than any other food and it is a good source of energy.
Majority of human like eating Okro and Eba(garri), Okro and Akpu, Okro and pounded yam, Okro and Tuwo'shinkafa just to mention but a few. But I actually love my Okro been prepared with semovita. I have a particular way of preparing my own Okro and Semovita. Below are the methods;
Ingredients for preparing Okro
Small bunches of Vegetable leaf (Ugu)
First and foremost I picked the vegetable
I cut the vegetable
I Wash the vegetable
I Wash my Okro and I will slice the Okro
After that I remove the bone from the fish
Method Of Preparation
First of all I will set my fire
I will put my empty pot on fire
I will turn my oil inside the pot and allow it to get hot for some seconds, I will turn the onion then I will turn the okro.
Then I will stir allow it to fry.
I will now add my mixed salt, pepper and Maggi
I will turn the fish inside the pot and add little quantity of water and stir it.
After that I will cover it so that it will boil for 1minutes.
I will open it and turn my vegetable inside immediately stir and bring down.
And now the soup is ready.
I will put a neat pot and place it on top of the fire, and put medium amount of water so that it will get boiled.
I will now mix my semovita with cold water in a plate.
After doing that the water might have boiled i will now turn the mixed semovita Into the boiled water and turn it vigorously with a wooden spoon.
I will close it to boil.
I will now open it and start turning the powdered semovita and stir it vigorously again till it's well mixed.
I will now cover the pot and let it boil for 2minutes then, bring it down.
The semovita is ready.
But before dishing it out I will have to tidy up where I prepared my food by throwing the dirt and washing my dirty plate.
Here comes the Delicious, Yummy and well prepared Okro and Semovita.
