Happy 4th of July to New Steem, Palnet, Steem Fiction, and all the other communities that are doing their best to increase the value of Steem. Here's hoping we have something to celebrate within the next few months.

The 4th of July is an interesting time of year for me. I work at a restaurant and that means slow business. Nobody likes to go out to eat at a restaurant during the 4th of July.

Most of my friends and family that don't work at a restaurant think that we are making a lot of money around this time of year because they think 4th of July means celebration, and that means going out to eat.

That's wrong.

People want to go outside during the 4th of July . They want to shoot off fireworks, or have a picnic, or basically do anything that involves sitting around the grill and drinking beers.

It's nice to go out to eat but I can tell you these past few weeks I have barely made enough money to pay my rent.

I know a lot of you are in the same boat, so I'm not really complaining…. I'm just saying 4th of July in the restaurant industry usually means using our saved up money. Hopefully we started saving a few months ago and there's a few dollars in reserves.

That's kind of difficult though if you li on Planet Earthth…. which I sometimes do.

So it's probably been about a week since @whatsup came with the idea of New Steem. You can read about it on the featured post, and you've probably already seen it.

She's right. We need to make a change, and we need to make the public aware that we've made a change.

This isn't the same old Steem that has been about making the rich richer, and upvoting the same 10 whales over and over again while the community tries to jump in on their curation cotails.

This isnsn't the same Steem that involves pointless arguments over and over again in which flag wars are being fired in every which direction. At least I hope it isn't that same old Steem.

There are a ton of changes that have been made and those changes should have increased the price but it hasn't happened yet.

Maybe all we need is increased advertising. Maybe we need something more, but we definitely need to get the word of New Steem out there.

I’ve been thinking about SMTs lately and about Steem Engine and about Palnet and it's coin Palcoin.

I guess if you stake the Palcoin you will get dropped various coins as they get added to StEngine.

This is is pretty cool. If you're thinking about pulling your stake out or doing something else with it you might simply consider changing it from Steem to Palnet.

Now, I have heard some concern that this could affect the price of Steem, but in my opinion change can be a good thing.

I don't know if it will affect the price of Steem or not, but I foresee a rise in the future, even though I still think Bitcoin is going to have a bigger rise sooner, which is why I pulled some of my stake out and put it into Bitcoin for now.

@steemfiction has not been selling many copies of our latest book, unfortunately.

Dead Silence is, in my opinion, in all ways better than our 1st book, Voices in the Darkness.

I made the mistake of overpromoting it before, and I'm now trying to learn about moderation. I do apologize for stepping on any toes in any of the other communities.

If you’d like to purchase a copy of it, you can purchase it here for $4.99 for the Kindle version. You can also switch over to the paperback version for $9.99.

I won't won't be pushing this book in any discord channels or attempting to put the needs of my authors before the needs of any other communities.

However, if you want to purchase the book you will definitely be helping our authors which have all placed a lot of time and effort into creating this book which we made in order to attempt to put the Steem blockchain out there into the Amazon.com world.

I hope you will put forward the idea of New Steem.

I hope you will get on board with the idea of Palnet. Hopefully you got some tokens in the claim drop. I didn't get any personally, but I've come to terms with that, and I still think it is something that it's going to help the community move forward.

In fact, I almost wonder why Steemit Inc. doesn't just buy Steem Engine and call it SMTs. That would be an easy move that would solve problems immediately, wouldn't it?

As for @steemfiction, I can still tell you we've got a great team of writers. Our next book will be published on September 1st, and it's going to be based around science fiction.

I hope you're having a great day and a great 4th of July.

Thanks for readingveryone.
