Well, there is a topic of discussion!
From the Religious Apocalyptic Prophecies to all the others that behave the exact same way and result in bundles of extremists placing themselves at the head of some 'cult like society'.
Yes, there have been many out there who have used fear and terror tactics to introduce a new cult society and impose community rule of law that is in line with their views.
Believe it or not, humanity is still where it has always been as far as prophecies go, no matter who believes in what, humans as such haven't evolved much in that field.
Some of you may think that I am referring to, or thinking about "religions" while writing this post.
No, actually, they are not really what comes to mind.
It is actually a ever growing mimic of religious cults who are literally using lies and twisting truths around so as to use cult and totalitarian propaganda tactics to evoke extreme fear.
These fears become ever so real to those who believe them, that they become extreme in their nature.
The presented "truths" are in many ways "confirmed" by various sources that are all redacted or should I say "approved" by the cult leadership.
Yet the facts looked at from all angles are ignored, the facts are downtrodden, deliberately condemned along with those who present them and we enter a "brave new world" run by a very old and traditional totalitarian regime fueled with fear and lies (partial truths).
With the technology out there today anything is possible, even deliberate destruction and mayhem. It will be no surprise that these cult members and those who believe that they need to serve the cult or that they as opportunists see that "their time has come" (all wanna be Stalins, Hitlers, Maos etc etc etc) coordinate on international levels all sorts of sick and perverted acts of evil, so as to fuel the fire of the fear and hate that they have towards all those individuals who do not kneel down in front of their new cult.
Everything written above is a scenario seen many a time through the course of history.
It is nothing new.
Gave a few examples from the more recent history of humanity.
Yet there have been many prophecies written in the past that have come to be.
Some ambiguous, others downright direct to the point.
I guess two very good examples of each of these are;
A not so religious one:
With Les Prophéties
Les Prophéties (The Prophecies) is a collection of prophecies by French physician Nostradamus, the first edition of which appeared in 1555 by the publishing house Macé Bonhomme. His most famous work is a collection of poems, quatrains, united in ten sets of verses ("Centuries") of 100 quatrains each.
to lets say a very religious one:
1- The time is fast approaching in which there will be great trials and afflictions; perplexities and dissensions, both spiritual and temporal, will abound; the charity of many will grow cold, and the malice of the wicked will increase.
2- The devils will have unusual power, the immaculate purity of our Order, and of others, will be so much obscured that there will be very few Christians who will obey the true Sovereign Pontiff and the Roman Church with loyal hearts and perfect charity. At the time of this tribulation a man, not canonically elected, will be raised to the Pontificate, who, by his cunning, will endeavor to draw many into error and death.
3- Then scandals will be multiplied, our Order will be divided, and many others will be entirely destroyed, because they will consent to error instead of opposing it.
4- There will be such diversity of opinions and schisms among the people, the religious and the clergy, that, except those days were shortened, according to the words of the Gospel, even the elect would be led into error, were they not specially guided, amid such great confusion, by the immense mercy of God.
5- Then our Rule and manner of life will be violently opposed by some, and terrible trials will come upon us. Those who are found faithful will receive the crown of life; but woe to those who, trusting solely in their Order, shall fall into tepidity, for they will not be able to support the temptations permitted for the proving of the elect.
6- Those who preserve in their fervor and adhere to virtue with love and zeal for the truth, will suffer injuries and, persecutions as rebels and schismatics; for their persecutors, urged on by the evil spirits, will say they are rendering a great service to God by destroying such pestilent men from the face of the earth. but the Lord will be the refuge of the afflicted, and will save all who trust in Him. And in order to be like their Head, [Christ] these, the elect, will act with confidence, and by their death will purchase for themselves eternal life; choosing to obey God rather than man, they will fear nothing, and they will prefer to perish rather than consent to falsehood and perfidy.
7- Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it under foot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days JESUS CHRIST WILL SEND THEM NOT A TRUE PASTOR, BUT A DESTROYER."
Note: this is a translation, just like the link above, so maybe some of the depth of the original texts were lost in translation, as every translation is open to interpretation because of the choice of words.
So there you have it, two very significant people who have written prophecies and for which many today claim have come to be and some claim shall come to be.
Yet unlike the cults that we see arising around us throughout the ages of time, these prophecies when written were about a time well in the future. While the cults present everything as "urgent", so urgent that death is imminent and unavoidable. So much so that they are willing to kill to prove it!
Will leave this post here. For those who read it, "Think about it". There is definitely enough food for thought here.
