MOTHER EARTH & SPACE NEWS - Solar Wind Impact, Cascadia Pattern, Truth Crisis | News Oct.24.2019

Good news everyone indeed! Fish turn out to be more tolerant than expected to low oxygen events. It is always good to see nature's resilience, yet again she has proven more complex and out-performed our computer models and predictions. The surprising discovery, from research by the University of Exeter and the Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (Cefas), was made when investigating the importance of carbon dioxide (CO2) during “hypoxic” (low oxygen) events.
The study shows that natural increases of carbon dioxide during low oxygen events make sea bass 20% more tolerant to hypoxia. Researchers believe this occurs because the blood chemistry of sea bass changes in response to higher CO2 levels. In turn this makes it easier for haemoglobin in their red blood cells to transport oxygen during a hypoxic event. “The standard methods used to measure the response of fish to hypoxia do not usually take into account the associated rise in CO2 levels that always simultaneously occur in nature,” said lead author Daniel Montgomery, a marine biologist at the University of Exeter.

New research on giant radio galaxies defies conventional wisdom.
Conventional wisdom tells us that large objects appear smaller as they get farther from us, but this fundamental law of classical physics is reversed when we observe the distant universe. Astrophysicists at Kent simulated the development of the biggest objects in the universe to help explain how galaxies and other cosmic bodies were formed. By looking at the distant universe, it is possible to observe it in a past state, when it was still at a formative stage. At that time, galaxies were growing and supermassive black holes were violently expelling enormous amounts of gas and energy. This matter accumulated into pairs of reservoirs, which formed the biggest objects in the universe, so-called giant radio galaxies. These giant radio galaxies stretch across a large part of the universe. Even moving at the speed of light, it would take several million years to cross one.

Meanwhile back on Earth, we have sunshine and cloud today in Southern Spain with 25 Centigrade and 52% humidity. Wind: 9 KPH from the East.

I am from Pretoria in South Africa, today we had a high of 30 degrees, they predict a low of 17 degrees tonight.
As I am typing we are having a very nice thunder shower, which is very much needed, as it is quite dry at the moment!!
