Man City is hot on the heels of this 16-year-old Nigerian Midfielder.
That Oluwatobi Adeleke, is a shining star is not in doubt and it isn't exactly a big news because, the world saw his impressive performance for the Nigerian side at the U-16 International Dream Cup in Japan in June 2019.
He is among the 51-man Eaglets squad invited to camp by coach Manu Garba for the U-17 World Cup in Brazil slated for 26th October to 17th November 2019. Nigeria is in Group B and their first match will be against Hungary on the 26th October.
The 16-year-old Golden Eaglets midfielder and Captain, who just appeared on the radar of Manchester City and some other European clubs, scored in the opening match against Mexico and got the fans talking of the young talent who is just getting set to take over from the likes of Mikel Obi, Ighalo etc.
Right now, Manchester City is among the many clubs looking to sign the youngster who is being hailed as and new face of the Super Eagles.
Whether he will be signed by City in the January transfer window is left to be seen as no official statement has been made by the club.
This is great news coming from the Adeleke's camp and I am sure this will boost his confidence more and push him to work harder.
I am also liking the fact that, these youngsters are being scooped off the streets and given a place at top clubs and also, the issues of race is gradually being toned down.
Which club do you think Adeleke will be better suited for?
