Dr. Bronner's Lavender Coconut Organic Hand & Body Lotion

@honest-reviews is a panel of individuals who believe in a better world! While we do not usually buy things at stores, we recognize that most people do. We encourage consumers to choose the goods they support wisely! Not only do you want a high quality product, but you also use your money power to "vote with your dollar", and endorse companies that either help the Earth and humanity or take away from it. We submit these reviews from our panelists in hopes of encouraging people to put some thought and consideration into the goods and services you choose to use and support.

We received a donation of natural beauty products, so I will review this moisturizer!

Brand 9 out of 10

I'm a big fan of Dr. Bronner's products - they are all natural and organic. This is actually one of my favorite brands as far as consumer products go, because they consistently produce a high quality product. I usually use their multi-purpose liquid soaps.

Aroma 9 out of 10

So it was quite nice to give their lotion a go, and lavender is one of my favorite scents! It is light and perfectly peacefully lavender-y. I didn't really notice hints of coconut, but it says its in there so ok.

Texture 6 out of 10

The texture is not awesome. The last moisturizer I reviewed had a great thick, fluffy texture, but this is runny and thin. It works - I mean it left my skin soft and moisturized, but I prefer the really creamy stuff. To each his own!

It's not too greasy, which is important to me in a lotion. I don't want to feel oily or stick to my clothes.

Presentation 7 out of 10

Graphically I kinda like the way their label looks, but realistically they have shit tons of words printed all over them that I have never read in over a decade of using their products. They do get a little preachy and I'm not into reading a novel on my soaps and cosmetics. I suppose it is good toilet reading if you're into that sort of thing, which I am not.

Ingredients 8 out of 10

Thankfully they print their list of ingredients front and center, and it's relatively short compared to other products. I'm happy to see hemp and some high quality oils in here, although water is the first ingredient.

Overall I'm not as pleased with this moisturizer as I am with the Dr. Bronner's line of soaps, but I appreciate and will use the donation nonetheless. +1 for scent, -1 for texture, 0 for the fact that I like Dr. Bronner's but it doesn't live up to other products. Rounds out to a big neutral on this product!
