Two of the last three digital drawings I've made contain skeletons. What's going on? Where does so much darkness come from? Hahahaha, the truth is that the latter is supposed to be for the Art Explosion competition with the theme "death",liaksponford@juliaksponford, buuuut as I always didn't do it in time, it's been 24 hours since closed the competition, I have to get my batteries up for the next one.
Who is not afraid of death? I don't know anyone who wants to leave this world, well maybe some old people who are at peace with life and expect it to end. But when my time comes, I imagine I'll be like that poor ghost, trying to come back and maybe shouting "I haven't done enough drawings yet".

I started sketching my idea, fighting against the proportions and perspective that I wanted to achieve in the ghost, that's why one hand is so big and the other is smaller, besides, I played for a while with the expression of death, I had drawn his skull with an expression of "this always happens", but I preferred to leave it as essive.
In a new layer under the sketch, I added color or better said, I filled in the silhouette of each of the characters separately, in order to block them and be able to paint over ting out.
Before being blue, the ghost was completely grey, making use of the airbrush and the watercolour brush, detail to the tormented subject as soft as possible, because well, it is a spirital form.
In the death I focus enough, so much so that I forgot to export some images of the process, therefore they lost the transformation of the skull (I'm sorry), but as you will see it went from being a stain to something more realistic and dark, here is important to use the fusion mode multiply, which allows to darken very well some areas and avoid using black color for this, since darkening with the latter gives a dirawing.
The background, this is very important, since this is not a portrait, but rather a scene, so boom! Here are the doors of the afterlife, with a quite dramatic lighting I would say. Likewise, I gave some details here and there, among the most notorious is the halo surrounding death (it is an angel) and the hand that finally holds the ghost to take ite.
I'll leave you a little gif with the whole process in it, so you can better appreciate the step by step.
See you in a future post!
