It all started with a now infamous Surinamese party called "BUBU" (after a drink). There are 2 or 3 of them a year and they're always fun. It's semi hard to get tickets but if I'm here when one is held I'm there!
There will be no "incriminating" 😂😂😂 pics but trust me it was fun!
With less sleep then I would have hoped to get I started the day of with nice breakfast with the fam. We're not always together so in the weekends (when we're in the same country) we try to make the most of it.
After breakfast went randomly went to see the Indonesian fair. Now I don't really know what occasion was but it was hosted by the Indonesian Embassy.
The main mission was to get some good food and we were successful. Check out the pic of this colorful coco snack
A look inside the Embassy.
But now to the records I spoke of! A friend of mine dared me to join the "weekend warrior" challenge on Fitbit... And my competitive spirit was kicked into overdrive! Even though I had 13000 steps yesterday, she was going to win if I didn't litteraly break my records this Sunday!
But how does one do it, you ask? Well since i got this fitbit I forced myself to walk more. I could easily jump in a car and drive to the grocery store for example but now I walk whenever possible. So I did! I walked around in the neighborhood. I walked through streets I never walked through before. And this... This gives you a new perspective. You see houses, people, trees that you didn't see or notice before and I got some great shots!
OH and what my actual record was???
Till next time! Have a great week (BON SIMAN!)
