Saving Scorpion - lightpainting with burning steel wool is hazardous...

One of the most "over used" methods of lightpainting is to spin burning steel wool. Below are a few examples where I've tried to innovate different ways to use steel wool compared to the many many spins I see all over the lightpainting community:

Goodness gracious, great balls of fire....

For the record, me and my lightpainting buddies always take great care to find somewhere there is little risk of setting the place on fire. We certainly wouldn't walk in to an abandoned building made of wood and start spinning sparks everywhere; that would be dumb not to mention we'd end up in jail....

About me: I usually specialise in shooting lightpainting images but occasionally dabble in urbex and artistic model photography. I'm always on the lookout for someone to collaborate with; please don't hesitate to get in touch if you'd like to create art.
