Lightpainter's's a thing...

Tonight's shenanigans after work at home in my kitchen and another crack at a triple lens and triple tripod swap. Trying to the get the damn Ikea Gamsebo bulb to pan at the correct intervals has definitely tweaked my OCD. (I don't really have OCD btw, I just like to be precise!!)

I started with a shot of my fat hand rested on a lightbox then capped the lens after 3 seconds. I then swapped the lens to a Pentax 50mm manual everything lens and pointed at the circuit board, then lens cap on again. Swapped yet again to a Viltrox 20mm lens pointed at the Ikea Gamsebo bulb and panned across. Ended the exposure, job done.

For some added interest I placed some cheap gears and cogs I bought off Fleabay, very cheap and usually purchased by the Steampunk types.

I've been calling these kinds of shots, "SOOK" as in straight outta the kitchen because they literally were created in my kitchen!

About me: I usually specialise in shooting lightpainting images but occasionally dabble in urbex and artistic model photography. I'm always on the lookout for someone to collaborate with; please don't hesitate to get in touch if you'd like to create art.

Thanks mate, glad you like it. I've been experimenting with newspaper print as part of an LP shot although I haven't quite got it nailed yet. For these white backgrounds I'm using an A4 size lightbox and placing elements in frame such as these cogs and gears.
