On our walk last night, this little guy stuck out against the dark sky. The lighting was absolutely beautiful bouncing off the tall fox tail weeds! I have spent a lot of time reflecting on mindset and how to improve how I feel about myself personally and how to help others improve their own mindsets. Seeing this flower made me take a minute to reflect on how, even through the stormy winds and the weather we face, we still can stand tall and be vibrant and beautiful!
This flower had obviously gone through many rough storms, but yet was still bright, and beautifully broken.
Mindset is all in how you build your habits. If you build habits of poor body image, hatred toward yourself, allowing to fall into bad eating patterns, and how you view who you are as a person...chances are you will always end up "failing" at whatever you try to do...Why, one may wonder? Because your brain will continue what it is comfortable with. It is quite incredible to learn about how the brain works and how the easy route (aka, negative mindset) just takes over on auto pilot. To break the cycle, you have to figure out what habits you have built for yourself.
I just finished listening to "The Power of Habit" by Charles Duhigg, which I totally recommend! It is so amazing!
Anyway, this beautifully broken Sunflower made me reflect on a lot last night and I wanted to share! You may look broken on the outside or feel broken on the inside and still be vibrant, stand tall, and look beautiful to someone passing by!!
