I had a very enjoyable night a while back with @fastchris to my favorite and slipperiest tunnel in the Peak District.
Lots of experimentation last night for both of us and some lessons learnt and ideas born.
Cheers to Chris for his help with this one....definitely a 2 man job.
Firstly I aligned the middle silhouette and tested exposure. Bit of vape in the air and Chris' Godox flash for back light.
Next up I arranged the refractography camera rotation element. Here I take the lens off the camera and shine a bright but tiny light source through a piece of glass. The real masters of this art are David Hull and Alan Jarras. You get some amazing patterns from this technique. I placed the first refractograph in the bottom middle of the frame, exposed for less than a second, placed my hand over the glass, rotated the camera and repeated until it formed a circle around where my silhouette would be. I then replaced the wide angle lens and did the silhouette element.
Single long exposure light art created in complete darkness.
Single long exposure. Raw conversion in Lightroom. Happy days.
