Another World - Lightpainting with cardboard cutouts

Evening Steem world and I hope life is good.

I love the whole process involved with these. Firstly drawn out and then cut with a craft knife, sellotaped onto the kitchen chairs and framed up. Building up the elements of light and working out best exposure I find very calming and the stresses and strains of the day just melt away.

Firstly I created the arc of lights by focus pulling the www.lightpaintingbrushes.com black fibers. I then replaced the lens cap and swapped tripod for the Cardboard element. Firstly focused on the figure I swept the clear fibers gelled orange behind before taking the blue filter and hood attachment paying attention to light the bottom 3rd with a wide beam so as to get the nice colour transition. Lens cap on again, aperture change and a re-focus for the stars and planet. Lit from behind using a gelled and bare torch.

As always this is a single long exposure photograph created in complete darkness.

Again a wonderful picture. No matter how, or what you paint the beauty in your pictures is that you always recognize a topic.
