Two days ago I launched a challenge called Virtual Virtual Steem Dinner, to encourage engagement and bring people together. If you've missed my post, you can ckeck it out here -> Virtual Steem Dinner Challenge - Let's have Some Fun!
I should have been first to post but wasn't ready to be honest and I thought why not launch it and come back later. Today I'm back with my virtual Steem dinner post.
Ten Steemians At The Table
The order is not relevant, each of you mentioned here are equally important but someone must come first and someone must come last as there's no other way.
@livinguktaiwan is one of the Steemians I'm not in contact with on a daily bases, I've spoken a few times in comments but she's a genuine person with amazing content on here and a big heart. Her posts are always interesting and full of wonderful things. She's an artist, representing a type of art which I'm planning to try out one day but I'm not ready yet, so I'm learning as much as I can till then.
I've been reading her post before and after Steemfest and loved her idea to make a special, handmade gift for a lot of Steemians. Memories are what we will have with us all our lives but to have a gift made with love and devotion is a sweet extra. Her language skills and devotion to make Steem a better place is something to admire. She's spending her free time to make sure good content is rewarded through @ocd and she's part of @steemworldmap too, which is also an amazing project that makes this place more attracting.
I'd love to have her at the dinner table, to have a chat with her and also give the other dinner guests the possibility to meet this amazing person.
@plantstoplanks is the other genuine person who is always inspiring me. She's a personal trainer and vegan, who's growing a good part of her fruits and vegetables. I've met her through @lenasveganliving's Fruits And Veggies Monday challenge. Her posts worth reading as are full of inspiration and if you need some vegan recipes, her blog is the best place. She even has a book published.
@barbara-orenya has been, is and will always be my inspiration when it comes to drawing and painting. This has been my dream ever since I was a little girl but as I don't have any talent, I thought I can't do anything. Reading her blogs, step-by-step tutorials gave me the courage to start drawing and now I know I can learn and evolve. I'd love to see her creating one of her amazing and cute artworks, live. I know her from another platform and was very happy to meet here on Steem.
@islanderman and Ida. I met Simon on Steem as he's post got curated by curie. By reading his posts I knew right away he's not an ordinary person. His posts are so different as he's quite a funny guy. The beautiful island he's living on offered me the chance to "travel" a little bit even though only virtually. Simon and Ida make some very funny videos that make your day.
@steemmat. I've never spoken to him in my life so I bet he's going to be surprised to see his name mentioned here but it's ok. He's a very generous guy with a big heart, I don't think he's going to bite my head off :) Why do I want to meet him (virtually) if I haven't spoken to him at all? Because he had the courage to quit his job an concentrate on recycling, and saving stuff some don't need anymore but others would want. I'm in favor of recycling, reusing, repurposing but what he does is art. I'd recommend you to visit his blog and have a look.
@haphazard-hstead. Although she's not active on Steem these days, I've always admired her for knowing so much about nature in general. She used to g foraging and come home with a basket full of goodies, then prepare a delicious looking meal using ingredients I've never heard of. Staying in touch with nature is very important (for me it is) and knowing as much as possible about it it is just as important. I have learned a lot from her.
@matkodurko is another Steemian I've never spoken to or maybe just a few times but I bet he has no idea who I am. On nice sunny day I came across his blog and hit the Follow button instantly. He's a very interesting person who has the courage to live life as he wants, making sure not to miss anything.
@mcfarhat. In case you don't know him, his name is tied to Actifit, he's the founder, the owner of the project (I hope I'm correct). I truly admire his work and him as a person although I only know him through the app and a few Discord chats when he helped me with a few things. By creating the app I can honestly say he has changed my life in good and I'm not the only one in this situation.
@nelinoeva, she's my next door neighbor basically as she lives in the neighboring country, in Bulgaria. I have always admired her for the amazing personality she has.
@lenasveganliving. Lena is also an old friend of mine from another platform, just like @barbara-orenya. Lena with her vegan living and her Fruits and Veggies Monday contest has thought me to create vegan dishes although I'm not vegan. I'm in favor of healthy eating and by preparing a few dishes for her contest, I became more conscious and have learned more about vegan dishes. She's an amazing person.
This is just a short list, I have a lot of people here I would invite but maybe next time.
Even though this is just a virtual dinner, the dishes must be carefully chosen as my guests are all over the planet: Taiwan, US, France, Finland, Austria, Lebanon, Bulgaria and Canada and there are vegans as well. It's hard to know the preferences of everyone, so my plan is to offer different dishes to them so they have where to choose from. I'd like to offer them the possibility to taste our local specialties.
If you feel like joining in the fun, please feel free to. Let's have some fun!
- The title of the post MUST start with "Virtual Steem Dinner Challenge", then you can add your title if you need to.
- Make a list of 10 Steemians (or less) and tell us why do you want to meat each of them, separately (name and reason).
- Describe the menu you'd like to serve.
- Tag 2 Steemians who you'd like to participate in the contest.
- Use the #steemdinner tag, must be one of the first five tags.
- Tag me @erikah so I can read your post and comment.
