FACTORS AFFECTING THE SUCCESS OF A POST

The likelihood of a post being successful can be predicted to some extent from its properties
or those of its poster in some online environments. Background information on this is useful
to give context to analyses of SteemIt. The most relevant information in most contexts is
about the popularity and network of the poster but this is not relevant to first
posts. Some topics are orders of magnitude more likely to be retweeted than others,
making this perhaps the most significant single content attribute for post popularity.
The emotional state of a Twitter user affects the likelihood that they retweet.

The presence of positive or negative sentiment all associate with a slightly increased

number of favourites .

The sentiment content of a tweet is also thought to be useful to
predict retweets.
Longer answers in Stack Exchange are more likely to be selected as the best answer
to a question and longer tweets are slightly more likely to be favourited . The
relationship between tweet length and retweeting is more complex, however.
For news tweeted by major organisations, time of day can affect the number of
retweets as well as the number of people receiving it at an early stage.

Time:

since posting impacts upvotes in Reddit and similar sites . The presence of hashtags or URLs
also associates with increased retweeting. On Reddit or Steemit, early upvotes generate a
larger final number of upvotes and so there is a degree of imitation amongst voters.

The design of a system also impacts the posts that a user sees  so the findings in this

section do not necessarily transfer to SteamIt.

Also, Quality

Having a healthy amount of content is important. However, marketers should prioritize quality over quantity. In Brain Rules, John Medina found that people retain 10 percent of the information they hear after three days — and 65 percent of details they see in images. This means marketers must also be creative in how they package data.

Last but not least Relevance

Think about the news. Stations and publications pride themselves on being the first to report a story and provide pertinent information. The same goes for brands and social media. Not only do you want to ensure that the content you’re churning out is current, but also that it’s relevant to your brand. Follow hashtags. Browse Subreddits. Explore Instagram. Luckily, there are several apps on the market that will make the job easier.
