Today I’m going to share one of my experiences with you.
During the pandemic we prepared different tasty food items even without considering the health.
After few months I was tested high blood cholesterol. It was the turning point of my life. I gave up all the junk and instant food items and started to change my meal plan into a very healthy diet plan.
From the day I started consuming 100% healthy food, I felt that I must share this with all others as well.
When you take a cholesterol report LDL cholesterol is the bad cholesterol that we should bring down.
So, today I will share some food items with their benefits that we all should consume if we want to lower our LDL cholesterol level.
These food items were prescribed by my family doctor. But you may know more than these.
Oats is the first step to lower your cholesterol level. It is high in fiber. You can prepare oats Dosai, oats rotti or oat milk. You can have oats with any kind of fruits.
Oats helps you to keep your tummy full for a long time.
Beans are rich in fiber and take a long time to digest. It is a very versatile food. You can prepare beans in many ways but make sure not to destroy its nutritional value while cooking.
Nuts like almonds, peanuts and cashews are good for the heart. They help to slightly lower LDL cholesterol. Consume nuts as a morning or evening snack.
4.Apples, Grapes, Strawberries and Citrus fruits
These types of fruits are rich in soluble fiber which helps to lower LDL cholesterol.
Soy beans and food made of them will help you to reduce blood cholesterol by 5%-6%.
6.Food rich in omega 3
Food rich in omega 3 helps prevent the onset of abnormal heart rhythms.
These food items not only protect the arteries in the heart but also they are good for bones, Digestive health as well.
