Khalil Gibran (1883-1931) was a Lebanese philosopher, writer, poet, essayist and painter. His work reflects the spirituality and principles that lead to the highest levels of the human soul. He is known for creating inspirational phrases. His best known book is "The Prophet". Khalil Gibran was born in Bicharré, in the mountains of Lebanon, on December 6, 1883. He lived with his father, his mother, a brother and two sisters.
