Rained all morning. Change of scene today as we start our journey back southwards. I booked a place in Burleigh Heads as a stepping stone. We still have one Gold Coast friend to see. Found a place closer to where she lives.
With a 2pm check-in we had to kill some time. So we did the loop drove onto Beaudesert Road up to Mount Tambourine. Stopped for lunch at Mount Nathan. It poured while we were there but it was a lovely lunch. Food was fine and nobody telling us about its faults
We did get up the mountain. Stopped at an Orchids in Flower sign. Long chat with the owner. I could have chatted for hours
My wife said it was 30 minutes. Down the mountain to find our place - an AirBNB
Nice apartment under a house above Burleigh Head. Hit the shops to top up with supplies. This dog was amazing - clearly under orders to stay at the entrance. It said hello but would not stand up, let alone move
Biltong bought here from a South African from Potchefstroom. He was happy for late business.
Dinner: Scotch fillet and chicken sausage cooked in a frypan - not the best way to cook but good enough. And we could serve our own portions
