Woke to a clear blue sky day compared to the gloom of our arrival yesterday. Walked down to Echo Point Lookout to see the Three Sisters before it got busy
A different perspective on Three Sisters
Drove up Narrow Neck Road to Cahills Lookout - looking back over Boars Head
Drove down Glen Raphael Drive to check on pink flannel flowers
These last flowered 57 years ago - fire and rain got them flowering again
Another close up - was fab out on a still morning
Context photo shows the fire impact
Had coffee in Katoomba and met with a friend who runs a gallery there. Then drove down to Glenbrook to walk a section of Blue Mountains NP I have not walked. I did the Gorge Track first
Did find orchid signs
Not much further I see the two opposed leaves on the ground - bonza
Struggling with ID - thinking chiloglottis seminuda for this one
Maybe a different chiloglottis - maybe reflexa
Mushroom was interesting in its own right - huge cluster of spiders nesting beneath
Walked down to Jellybean Pool - no orchids but did catch this grasshopper
Great trip to the mountains - a big thank you to my wife who did the driving. Was close to 500 kms round trip.
Dinner: Did do BBQ under a clear sky.
Trade action: Sold ALV.DE call spread for 84% profit since March 2020. Europe is waking up.
