Dad Tip of the Day: Toy Cars

Dad Tip of the Day: Toy cars are great for child development, plus they are fun!

As parents, we are always looking for ways to help our kids learn, yet have fun at the same time. One great way to do this is to play with toy cars – like Matchbox cars or Hot Wheel cars. The kids usually enjoy these, and it can also be fun to play and interact with the kids for the parents too, creating all sorts of fun situations and scenarios.

I found a good article online that talks about the benefits of toy cars for kids:

The article discusses how it toy cars increase STEM Learning (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) as learning about trajectory, gravity, velocity, weight, distance, etc is involved in toy car play. Toy cars can also help with kids’ fine motor skills and cognitive development.

My son, Jacob, loves playing with toy cars, and often creates tracks and imaginary scenes with his cars. Here is one such scene on a carpet rug track:

So get out the toy cars and have some fun!

Let me know you came you came by today,
