Adding Some New Mysterio Original Art!!!

Yesterday I attended the Keystone Comic Con in Philadelphia. It was the first time in ages that I just got to walk around a show and just go with the flow. I usually work and exhibit at these events so it was a nice change of pace.

I met up with my buddy @bryan-imhoff which is always a great time. He is 4867 times smarter than I am when it comes to everything regarding the blockchain and I make use of that by behaving as if I were a curious child. I’m sure he secretly wants to spit in my stupid face for all the questions and I wouldn’t blame him one bit.

We discussed HF21 a lot and it’s potential negative implications and hopefully...improvements. We bought shitty overpriced chicken fingers and soggy fries, sat on the floor, and swapped ideas in between checking out various artists in the Artists Alley section. Always good to see him.

One of the artists I spotted there was Buzz. He’s been around forever as I remember him working on Vampirella when I was just a teen. I inquired about him doing a Mysterio commission for me and he told me it would take several hours. End of the day, I was able to pick up this beauty. This 11x17 piece will eventually join the rest of my stockpile to frame up!

The super good news is that Buzz committed to my Steemit Comic Art Initiative by agreeing to donate a piece. I’ll be picking it up at the New York Comic Con in October. He also seemed a bit interested in Steemit as a whole when I gave the spiel to him. I’m supposed to shoot him some more info through email. Once again...the idea of having the world of professional comic artists here showing off and discussing their works which they are already doing anyway...is one of the goals I’m striving for in time. It’s gotta start with someone...

For more info on the Art Initiative I’m working on, peep this as it explains my goal a bit more.

I also chatted with @teamashen who was there snapping pics of the various cosplayers. We discussed the possibility of him coaxing some of the more well known cosplayers that he has a relationship with, onto the platform and some other fun stuff. But I’m dumb and forgot to get a pic. Sorry bud.

Anyway, overall a great day. Thanks for the invite out Brian!!

Definitely. It’s actually too perfect a platform for them! The movement has to start somewhere and the comic industry is a great start.
