Hello Ladies and Gentlemen of steemchurch peace be unto you all
In the book of Psalm 18:41, God normally stretch His hand to help his people but this is always decisive for the devil are routed with no place to hide and for that this help does not happen to every one. But we are all His children so sometimes he sends his universal grace of rain to the just and the unjust . But for those who walk just by His word receives a special favours.
"that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous"
According to the scriptures, God favoured the Psalmist, this proves the special relation he had with God through his lifestyle. Though he sinned with Bathsheba but we ask does he have those claims?. You can read the book of 2 Samuel 11 for more knowledge. He was able to claim because he confessed and was forgiven by God.
2 Samuel 12:13;
"Then David said to Nathan, "I have sinned against the LORD." Nathan replied, "The LORD has taken away your sin. You are not going to die"
David also showed an attitude towards God which was overall one of love and trust and it is this God want from us. He knows certain times we will fail. God also prove His loyalty to David, this is based on the covenant and not our goodness.
For this we have no reason not to build such a special relationship with Christ who have make it possible for us to be called children of God. Looking at the life of David then we have no righteousness of our own but rather cloth us with his. We constantly experience this due to who says God is.
