Unity in God: And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body

In the New Testament, there are many references to the unity of the communion, as Paul explains to us: "And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body", Colossians 3:15.
Believers make up a unit, a single body, which is also the church and its head, the cornerstone of this building is Jesus: "Jesus said to them, Have you never read in the Scriptures: ´The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes´?", Matthew 21:42; and also: "And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy", Colossians 1:18.

The love of Jesus is a force of union, the love projected to the whole creation of God (Agape), we are all one, one heart, one mind, one will: "That all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.", John 17:21.
The perfection of unity cannot occur through the desires of the apparent goods such as money, power, fame because the apparent goods are scarce and the subject of dispute among men. Only when men compete for the spiritual goods, such as mercy, wisdom, perseverance, which are unlimited can there be peace and union.
The contemplative life (John 4:24 and John 17:3), the worship of wisdom, is the true goal of man and communion, the union between the brothers with the head that is Christ, reaches its perfection in it: "And in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority", Colossians 2:10.
