πŸ„#mushroommonday and MOAAARRR!!!! πŸ„

Monday?!? Really??? Damn!

Anyway, I hope it's a good one for you! I have a few things to cover here so I will get right to it!

mushroommonday

This morning I was out looking for mushrooms for today's post and I found these beauties!

With one quick glance, you can easily see that they are in the Amanita family, but I wasn't sure exactly what they are. They are not the iconic white death and they don't really look like the orange teacher either.

After some research I discovered that they are Amanita rubescens var. rubescensor or commonly know as blushers. Besides looking beautiful there isn't much to these mushrooms. They aren't poisonous and they don't hold the key to understanding the universe like our red Christmas friends! πŸ„

I hope you like them and if you know anything about them let me know!

Sorry for all the hashtags, but this is something important that I want to share with you.

@themarkymark started STEM Geeks a while back and I really like this Steemit platform. There, you can find really good content about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Read more about it here.

Here is an excerpt taken from the above sourced post:

The main idea of STEMGeeks is to provide technology & science-focused community with a niche wide enough you could live here but not wide enough to see $100 cat photos.

I want to see more great content in there. I know a lot of Steemians that I interact with are very technical and science-minded.

What I am going to do to start is anyone who comments on this post with a link to their Stem post (#mushroommonday or any other), and it fits the posting criteria of STEM, I will 100% upvote and resteem their post.

You can either publish your post directly on stemgeeks.net or add the tag β€œstem” to your post.

Secondly, starting tomorrow (Tuesday) I am going to begin curating STEM posts once a week. Every Tuesday I will select three valuable STEM posts to resteem, 100% upvote, and share on my Steemit blog. My vote may not be a whale upvote, but it's a start.

I think STEM geeks is a great addittion to the Steem blockchain and I wnt to see it succeed along with all of the brilliant authors that are contributing.

Let's make Steemit great again and support some of these amazing projects.

Have a great week everybody!

Wow I don't think I've ever seen an amanita rubescen before. Maybe with more research it will have a cure for some kind of disease in it.
