Glass Balls

These beautiful hand blown glass balls belong to a wonderful lady I work for.
My curiosity finally got the best of me and I had to ask her where she had gotten them.

The two big light green ones came from Japan. She lived there many years ago during her teenage years. The others were purchased from different artisan craft galleries.

She also has a few beautiful pottery vessels. I will try a remember to take some pictures of them the next time there.

These two in the above photo are my favorite. The glass is quite thick and they are heavy in lifting.

You can have all sorts of photographical fun with those glass balls, they are like their own round, little filters. Wish I had some of these balls to play with...uh, wait, that...didn't come out right, did it? Is it too late to retract that previous statement? Our law talking guys say, "no" so uh, "roll with it"! :p Thanks for sharing your interesting photos. :)

Well, it didn't help that we were watching Dragonballz Abridged recently, which was teeming with ball jokes. :D Thanks.

I remember years ago seeing Round glass Japanese fishing net floats that would wash up on the beaches in California. These reminded me of those, but these are much bigger

Well it is very interesting working with glass but if I tried it I don't think my globes would be anywhere near round! Those are perfection.
