Greetings to all steemians all over the globe. I am delighted to participate in this contest by

A typical dish from my country,Nigeria is a traditional soup called Efo Riro.
Efo Riro is a rich traditional soup that is native to the Yorubas of Western Nigeria,Africa.Variety of vegetables can be used to cook this soup: Waterleaf,Pumpkin leaves ,Soko,Tete(I am yet to find the English names for these ones. Water leaf and Pumpkin leaves are mostly used.
I love this soup because of its rich elements and delicious taste. Pumpkin leaves is rich in vitamins, iron and other minerals, locust beans another element is rich in proteins, lipids, vitamins and a rich aource of fat and calcium. The variety of meats and fish added are also rich source of protein.
It is made at home for family consumption and also commonly made at parties and big ceremonies. It simple to make and can be enjoyed by just anyone.
The Major Ingredients for this soup is the vegetables and number of animal proteins added.
We usually make this soup at home every weekend and sometimes weekdays. I made some few days ago.
Here is the picture
•Pumpkin Leaves: 500g
•Scotch bonnet Pepper to taste
•Onion: 1 medium bulb
•Palm oil :15cl
•Locust beans: as desired
•Stock cubes: 2 big cubes
•Salt to taste
The more animal protein added, the more variety given this soup. So assorted meat, beef, dry fish, stock fish, snails etc can be added to increase the richness 😋.
