MAP Rewarder: MAPR Payouts to Delegators and Price Increase for Token-Holders for 16 Sep 2019 (16.0% APR)

This week's distributed profits are 0.306%, equivalent to 16.0% APR.

Total rewards to delegators and token-holders, including bonuses, are 0.315%, or 16.4% APR.

The drop from our recent payouts of about 20% down to 16% APR is wholly due to the two lost days when the Steem blockchain was down. This was mentioned in last week's payout post.

Indeed, with two days lost we should have seen our payout drop to about 14% APR, but one of the RPC nodes was up and running before the others so we observed a trickle of new posts being published and hence some rewards coming in 7 days after the "blackout".

Last week I published a very short post with payout information. Nobody complained, or even commented, so here goes again!

Remember that MAPR has a unique distribution and pricing system. If you look at the MAPR tokens you as delegator have received today, multiply that number by the new official BUY Price you get the same amount in STEEM as you would have done under the old system of just paying out STEEM transfers.

The added bonus is that if you don't sell this week's tokens, then next week their value will rise to at least the new BUY Price. This is how the token allows compounding of profits, for both delegators and token-holders.

MAPR: The Numbers

All these numbers relate to a 7-day period (Monday to Sunday) and calculated in STEEM per SP.

Value of Steem upvotes = APR 28.6% [1]
Value of Steem rewards payouts = APR 14.3% [2]

Distributed MAPR payouts = 0.306% (APR 16.0%) [3]
Total MAPR payouts = 0.315% (APR 16.4%) [4]

MAPR BUY Price: 1.03001 STEEM [5]
MAPR SELL Price: 1.04031 STEEM [6]

[1] Theoretical maximum value of Steem upvotes, assuming 10 full upvotes at 100% power for 7 days, averaged over 7 days and expressed as an APR. This calculation was performed for an SP of 1 million STEEM to be as close as possible to linearity. Your own upvote will be somewhere between 50-100% of this value.
[2] Theoretical value of Steem upvote author rewards, assuming 50% curation rewards, 50-50 split of post payouts and SBD print rate, averaged over 7 days and expressed as an APR. Your own author rewards will be somewhere between 50-100% of this value.
[3] MAP Rewarder distributed payout sent to delegators this week as tokens and the MAPR price adjusted to reflect this.
[4] Total payouts for the week, including bonus upvotes, free full upvote, free SBI and this week's distribution.
[5] Our BUY price is the price you may sell your MAPR tokens such that their value in STEEM is the same as if this week's distribution was done by direct STEEM transfer.
[6] Our SELL price is about 1% above the BUY price.

Our MAPR distribution [3] is higher than the average blockchain author rewards [2].

Profits will be paid today in the new MAPR tokens.

One thing to notice is that while we have seen a temporary dip in earnings due to the Steem blockchain being offline, the blockchain's earning potential has increased! As there were no posts made there were no rewards paid out a week later and hence the reward pool started to grow.

We shall see the two numbers head back in the opposite direction next week, with our payout increasing and the blockchain's earning potential decreasing. Because of the double disruption during the HF21/22 process, we don't yet see a new steady state being reached by the reward pool.

The Dollar price of STEEM has nothing to do with this, it's the blockchain activity that is responsible for the distribution of rshares and hence STEEM rewards. The only time external market prices affect this is when SBD is above $1 as this would increase author rewards. At the moment, with the price stability measure in force (the tonsure) the internal price of STEEM moves very slowly and should give us a trajectory towards the next equilibrium point.

See you next week!

Next rewards distribution will be on Monday 23 September.

So i just delegate some sp to this account and then i get weekly payouts of around 20%APR?

Hi, returns are variable and delegators are paid in MAPR tokens that can be sold for STEEM or kept to compound the weekly returns. Yes, delegating SP is straightforward - having shortened these reporting posts, I just notice an important link is missing: please read this for more detailed info:
