Красные стрекозы

These photos of red dragonflies and damselflies were taken in the local peatbog near my home town in The Netherlands, where these creatures like to roam.

Having an overview of "all the red ones" should be convenient for myself as a reference for identifying them.

The ruddy darter (Sympetrum sanguineum):

Olympus Stylus 1s, 300mm, ISO200, f5.6, 1/50s

The large red damselfly (Pyrrhosoma nymphula)

Olympus Stylus 1s, 42mm, ISO200, f8, 1/100s

Another large red damselfly:

Olympus XZ-1, 112mm, ISO200, f8, 1/250s

The common darter (Sympetrum striolatum):

Olympus Stylus 1s, 200mm, ISO100, f8, 1/250s

The vagrant darter (Sympetrum vulgatum):

Olympus Stylus 1s, 265mm, ISO200, f8, 1/125s

The small red damselfly (Ceriagrion tenellum):

Olympus XZ-1, 112mm, ISO200, f8, 1/500s

Two small red damselflies mating:

Olympus XZ-1, 28mm, ISO200, f5.6, 1/100s

This last photo is actully the very first photo I ever posted on Steemit, many moons ago!
